City of St. Charles Sidewalk Mud Jacking

The General Assembly has received notification from the City of St. Charles that this Thursday, December 14th, 2017 will be the first day of mud jacking work to be performed on sidewalks within New Town.  Work will begin on Hempstead Street.  “No Parking” signs will be posted on Wednesday in anticipation of Thursday’s maintenance.

In addition to the list that was provided, (please see link below), the General Assembly was informed that each street will be assessed and any additional issues will be addressed with mud-jacking as the budget allows.

The General Assembly will continue to provide updates as they are received regarding upcoming maintenance.

The General Assembly Office received notice from the City of St. Charles that they will be moving forward with repair of sidewalks beginning the week of December 11th, 2017.    The temporary asphalt patches will be removed and the sidewalks will be repaired and leveled by mud jacking.  During this time the City will be placing temporary no parking barriers along the sections to be repaired.  We ask that you refrain from parking in these areas once the barriers are posted to allow the crew to work free and clear of interruptions.
