The General Assembly will work with the city of St. Charles to coordinate yard waste pickups again this fall. A schedule of pickup dates will be published as soon as it becomes available.
Just a reminder, when you are blowing your fall leaves, please bag the leaves and dispose of them properly rather than blowing them into street or lakes.
Excess leaves can create an organic imbalance in lakes which can deplete oxygen and,poor water quality. Wet leaves on sidewalks and streets become slippery and can be hazardous for pedestrians and vehicles.
