In order to protect the health of children and families, the General Assembly has made the difficult decision to close all playgrounds in New Town until further notice.
New Town parks will remain open to the public and open spaces are available for residents to walk, run or exercise. All patrons are asked to obey the following guidelines:
– Please practice social distancing and avoid close contact with others. The CDC recommends a minimum of a 6-ft. distance to help reduce the risk of spread between individuals.
-Do not congregate in groups of 10 people or more. During this time, parks should be used for private exercise only. Please avoid social gatherings in New Town common areas.
-Please stay home if you are sick and practice good hygiene. Sanitize your hands after touching surfaces. Avoid touching your face. Sneeze or cough into a tissue or the inside of your elbow.
-Place garbage in trash receptacles.
