Last Wednesday, August 13th, the St. Charles Police Department hosted Watermelon Wednesday at Town Hall — and what a turnout it was! Kids and families from across New Town joined in for an afternoon full of laughter, games, and of course, plenty of watermelon.
From the seed-spitting contest to watermelon bowling, coloring, and summer fun, the event brought kids and families together in the best way. A special thank you goes out to the School Resource Officers (SROs) who helped engage the kids and made the day even more memorable.
We’re grateful to the officers for bringing such a fun, family-friendly event to our community, and we hope to see Watermelon Wednesday return next summer!
