2021 Pool Opening

The pool opening is quickly approaching and we are all excited to see the facilities open for the 2021 season!

Festivities kickoff with the Annual Duck Race which runs from at 9:00am-12:00pm (tickets required) and the Grand Opening at 12:00pm for both the Shire Lane and Blue Agave Pools.

As a reminder, please pickup your pool passes and/or stickers from the General Assembly office prior to the weekend (Note, the GA office closes at 2pm on Friday and will reopen on Tuesday, June 1st).  Likewise, please complete your online pool application for the 2021 season if you have not already done so.

That being said, there are a few items to consider for the pool opening weekend as follows:

-DO NOT enter the facility if you have had any symptoms or exposure risks to COVID-19 as listed by the CDC guidelines.

-Waiver forms will be required upon entry.  Please allow for extra time to complete the waiver, which will be provided at the pool facility.  Waivers will only need to be completed one time for the 2021 season and will be provided an additional sticker for confirmation.

-NO GUESTS will be permitted over the Memorial Day weekend holiday.  Guests will be permitted starting Tuesday, June 1st.  As a reminder, the revised guest policy permits 4-guests per household Monday-Friday, and 2-guests on Saturday & Sunday.

– Food and Beverage:  Coolers and outside food & beverage are prohibited at the pool facilities.  However, bottled water, water bottles/tumblers, and snacks in Ziplock baggies are acceptable.

-Residents are encouraged to personal towels for use on pool furniture.

-Saturday, May 29th:  the Shire Lane Pool will be hosting the annual Duck Race Event from 9:00am-12:00pm.  Those who are participating in the Duck Race will be required to leave the pool facility after the event has concluded, and re-enter after signing in and completing the required waiver.

Lastly, we are excited for the improvements to the Shire Lane pool this year which includes freshly painted pool floor surface and striping, new baby pool rubber surfacing, and newly paved asphalt lane leading to the pool, along with several other enhancements!  (Note, the baby pool surfacing has a yellow hew due to the UV curing process.  The hew will fade off in the next 1-2 weeks as it reacts to the sunlight and will return to a blue & teal coloring.)

On behalf of the General Assembly, we wish everyone a wonderful 2021 swimming season, and a Happy Memorial Day weekend!
